I celebrated my birthday in Paris, France in January after a long week of a sales training trip across three countries: England, Germany and France. After finishing work on Friday, Annmarie and I jumped back on the subway and started with a tour of Notre Dame Cathedral.
From there we at crepes for lunch and continued on to the Louvre. We decided it was too massive to walk inside so we walked past the triangles and then onto the Gardens on our way to the Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower. As we reached the Champs Elysees, it started to rain and we went into a tea house to warm and enjoy tea and cookies. My tea was a black tea with vanilla and caramel. It was served in a china pot and was the most delicious and expensive tea I’ve ever had.
Annmarie took me to La Maison du Chocolate and the aroma was intoxicating. They were so happy to let you sample anything you wanted because they new they’d have you spending your last Euro for their goodies and we did. Afterwards, we ended up at Lipp Bistro for my fun and memorable dinner. The night ended with us walking to the Eiffel Tower and then back on the subway to our hotel. We had to be on noon flights back to the states the next morning.
